Life Saving
Our volunteer patrolling members perform countless hours of patrols to watch, protect and save members of the public which results in fatality free seasons between the flags at Burleigh.
Each season our patrolling members successfully complete Preventative and Public Relations Actions, which results in minimal rescues and we treated members of the public for numerous first aid cases and marine stingers.
Our Club has an array of Courses and Educational Programs for its members in such areas as Cert II in Aquatic Rescue, First Aid & CPR. We also offer Surf Sports & Nipper programs for Juniors commencing from the age of 5 up to Senior & Master Competitors, together with the traditional Club events of R&R and March Past. We also offer IRB racing and Surf Boats, so whatever you are interested in with Surf Life Saving you are well catered for at our Club.
Patrols are conducted by our Members at Burleigh Beach between the months of September to May on Saturdays, Sundays & Public holidays. Since 1923 our Club has been patrolling Burleigh Beach protecting the public and tourists alike.
If you wish to become a patrolling Member of our Club you can do so from the age of 13. We offer Surf Rescue Certificates, Bronze – Cert II Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue) together with CPR and First Aid courses.
